The Cutting Cafe Planners - Part 2

are being highlighted this month!!  There are ways to plan, and organize that will make your life so much easier!!  And fun too!  Stop by the shop & check it ALL out!!  Lots of inspiration from a creative Design Team too!

Get Well Lou

This is for a child who separated her shoulder.  The wiggly eyes will help provide a smile, I hope.  I used a new technique on this is a motion card, inspired by Jennifer McGuires 'Floating Stamp' video.  The copic coloured kitty can move all around the oval that you see behind it.  I crinkled the heart on purpose, acknowledging the state of Lou's shoulder.

Bingo Challenge

I had this striped paper in mind even before I knew it was part of the options in the Catch The Bug Bingo Challenge!  To complete the requirements I added a tab, and the dots.

Cute Card Thursday is having a "Banish the Blues" challenge!  Just look at this guy's face - it 'proves' exercise makes you feel better... (banishing the blues!)

You can play along too at:

Kraft Coffee

This is the FREE stamp from Create a Smile!  I lightly stamped the background with another coffee stamp set I had.  The challenge was to use 'kraft' & I had this notecard on hand.  It came with the wonky stitching along the bottom, and I added a few little embellishments.  The coffee cup is coloured with copics and I paper pieced a couple of stripes of pattern paper on as well.

Using up Leftovers!

What a great challenge idea!!  I love it!!
I had this piece of glitter paper, and a matching sticker in my stash after Christmas, plus a random piece of snowflake I found a snowman, coloured him with copics... and now I have an entry!!

Tea Cup Full of Fun!

Look at these little critters!  They're having a riot! I'm 'LOVING' the fun they're having!!  (hope that 'qualifies' for the Time Out Challenge!)
This card base was cut with my silhouette, and then I used my Cuttlebug to stamp and die cut snowflakes with a piece of acetate to allow for differing heights.

I'm playing along in the 'on the menu' challenge - a disclosure: I hope you never order a tea and get a cup full of mice! LOL!

Christmas Snowman

Pattern Paper Triple Time!

I loved the theme of the Mod Squad challenge!  Three different pieces of pattern paper!  This little lady is coloured with copics and then some fun sparkle added to her fur.  I'm hoping the roughness of the torn paper contrasting the sweet & sparkle of this image will qualify for the 'shabby chic' challenge theme!

2019 Planner

I love the simplicity of this! The Cutting Cafe has so many options and has done all the work - basically you just choose how much 'information' you want to include! We don't have to try & 'reinvent the wheel' on this project! Thanks Regina!!  Please follow this link for a gallery with a multitude of ideas!

Tiny Triple

This is a tiny card, cut with my silhouette.  The measurements are 5.5"x 2.5"
I coloured the stamps with copics, and added some paper to the front flaps.  For a little texture and to play along in the THINK TWICE challenge I added the TWO burlap flowers!

Please 'bear' with me...

There are still a few Christmas challenges that I'd like to play along with, so I hope you'll 'bear' with me as I continue to post a few more Christmasy cards.
I coloured this digi with copics and made a fun fold base for him.  The fur on his hat has LOTS of glitter although it doesn't show well in the picture.

The challenges of winter! Ouch!

Oh boy - there's a few different captions that come to mind when I see this poor guy!!  LOL!
I coloured this digi with copics and did a little distress ink on the background.  I used 2 extra layers of paper over the base to help him stand out.

Happy New Year 2019!

Wow - here we are - a brand new page!  A clean slate to start again!  Pretty exciting!
This is a copic coloured snowman, an embossed backdrop and a horizon file that I cut on my silhouette.

I'll be playing along at:

Christmas Postage

This was my first attempt at colouring 'plaid.'  Even more remarkable was that I had to 'create' the plaid - it wasn't part of the digi!  I enjoyed the challenge of it - and also of her coat.  I really admire so many of the images I see that show great depth & movement in clothing!  It's so fun to try and recreate it on my projects!
I cut the post stamp card base on my silhouette, and watercoloured the background, just a little bit.

I'll be playing along at:

Wintery Sparkle!

The funny thing about showing cards with 'sparkle' is they're so hard to get a good picture least for me!  It's much easier to see the sparkle in real life!  Anyway - I loved this colouring page digi, and coloured her with copics.  I used my silhouette to cut a 'fancy fold' card base.

I'll be playing along at:

Coni Fong Penguin

This was a free digi over the Advent season from Kit & Clowder!  So cute!  I used my silhouette cameo to cut the window into the card base. I trimmed the top edges with the punch shown and added some fun snowflake washi tape.

I'll be playing along at:

We Three Kings

Masking is not something I do often, but I do admire a lot of other work I see.  It was fun to practice on this card. The 'men' were coloured with copics and the card base was embossed with a snowflake folder. ("We Three Kings" for Christmas with the Cuties)

I'll be playing along at:

Blue Bugaboo Baubles

I just LOVE this BUGABOO stamp!! The lighting in the picture has changed, but this is all the same image.  I used a silhouette file for my card base and then a die cut to frame the image.  A little 'peace' ribbon and it was finished.

I'll be playing along at:

Bestie Slippers

Sleddin' shaker

Probably one of my favorite cards that I made this season!!  Those minature snowballs are adorable for a shaker!!  I coloured the image with Copics, and cut the cute card base with my Silhouette.  So fun!

I'll be playing along at:

Christmas Puppy Waterglobe

I love making shaker cards!!  I coloured this little puppy with Copics, then added him to a silhouette file with some pretty sequins!
